Bike apparel firms use coldblack technology

Among these were Pearl Izumi and Descente, who used the sun protection technology for the first time in their latest ranges. Other exhibitors including Carvico, Eschler and Miti also used coldblack in their collections for summer 2011.
The technology reduces the absorption of heat radiation, especially in darker colours and in all types of textiles. It reflects heat rays instead of absorbing them and offers a high level of protection from ultraviolet rays. The wearer sweats less, losing fewer vital minerals and staying hydrated for longer.
