Cold weather protection at adidas

11/09/2009

German sportswear brand adidas has introduced the new adidas Clima365 collection ahead of the autumn-winter season.

ClimaWarm has a thermal insulation of around 75 grams to keep wearers dry and comfortable in cold weather conditions by using densely woven synthetic fibres to trap warm air close to the skin. While these fibres are dense enough to trap air, they are spaced far enough apart to easily allow sweat to escape. The collection includes the ClimaWarm Longsleeve T-shirt in pure steel with dark metallic stripes, which is said to provide full thermal functionality in cold weather conditions as well as flexibility and breathability.

ClimaProof is breathable weather protection designed to optimise body temperature and keep the wearer at peak performance level even in wind, rain and storm conditions, while still allowing heat and sweat to escape. The ClimaProof Wind Jacket comes in three different colourways and offers protection from wind and light rain. It includes carefully placed fleece on the inside to protect the female-specific “Clima Zones” such as the back and particularly the kidney area. On warmer days, sleeves can be removed.

The Clima line includes matching footwear and accessories such as the Clima75 expert trainer which is said to be comfortable and breathable. The upper has a female-specific shape and midsole cushioning provides long-lasting comfort.
