Firstgear apparel uses d3o protection

14/09/2009

The new 2010 Firstgear line of motorcycle jackets incorporates d3o technology, a shock absorbing material engineered with intelligent molecules that are designed to move with the wearer but to lock together on impact to absorb the shock. This process takes less than a second and the material returns to its original soft state as soon as the impact is over.

“The jackets are lighter, less bulky and more flexible for a comfortable fit.  Add to that d30 is CE approved, providing superior protection and you have a revolutionary product,” says Mark Salvatore, Firstgear brand manager.

“Over the past couple of years, d3o has become synonymous with state-of-the-art impact technology allowing its athletes/riders total freedom of movement. At the same time, we always positioned our technology in the midst of consumer awareness by carefully selecting each partner we launch with,” comments Marcus Hoenig, d3o global sales manager.
