Eco-friendly technology for Tunisian textile sector

A new project is to take place in Tunisia to facilitate the transfer of environmentally sound technology (EST) within the country. The project leaders include the technical textile centre (CETTEX), the National leather and footwear centre (CNCC) and the technical food centre (CTAA) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNID).

The ‘Med-test’ project aims to reduce pollution levels and 15 firms from the textile and clothing, leather and footwear and food sectors are expected to take part in this project. It will involve a range training courses and will offer the companies involved a high level of technical assistance.
