Footwear brand Timberland has announced that its chief financial officer, John Crimmins, will leave his position at the end of September. The company said Carrie Teffner would join from Sara Lee as his replacement.

Ms Teffner has been chief financial officer of Sara Lee International Household and Body Care since 2008.

The company gave no reason for Mr Crimmins’ departure, but Reuters pointed out that Timberland was the third major US footwear brand to announce the departure of its chief financial officer during the month of September, after Skechers and Deckers made similar announcements.
