Eurojersey launches Clear Print
At the most recent edition of Interfilière, which ran September 5-7 in Paris, Eurojersey introduced its new Clear Print technology.
The Italian company, which manufactures the Sensitive range of fabrics, says the technology interacts with plain colours to produce complementary and contrasting colour effects. It uses a print paste with a special chemical formula which allows the dye to be “anchored” to the fabric.
According to the company, it offers a very soft hand compared with prints that use traditional pigment and provides excellent resistance to wear tear. It is also said to offer outstanding print definition.
Economically it is less costly than many traditional print methods as there are no preparation costs and it eliminates the evaporation and washing stages. Meanwhile, ecologically, it uses colourants that meet the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and is said to offer up to 50% savings in water usage. Energy usage is also 25% lower, and using smaller amounts of dyestuffs and chemicals mean wastewater is not so greatly compromised.
The new technology is part of the company’s SensitivEcoSystem programme.
