Helly Hansen offers soft fit programme in UK

Norway-based technical sportswear brand Helly Hansen is offering retailers the opportunity to incorporate its soft fit programme in their stores. It hopes the programme will increase its brand presence and restructure its specialist water and outdoor distribution.

The retailer to take up the offer is the newly opened Rob Perry Marine store in Weymouth, UK. Rob Perry is well established in the marine industry and will now feature an exclusive Helly Hansen branded area in its store.

The soft fit programme has been created to accommodate varying sizes of retail space. It comprises a collection of freestanding units, waterfall tables, drawer units, shelves with side hanging options, bespoke lighting and graphics covering areas of between 10 square-metres and 30 square-metres.

Enid Perry at Rob Perry Marine says: “We’re really impressed with the Helly Hansen fit. It’s eye-catching, modern and bright which displays the products fantastically. The units are all incredibly versatile and we’ve found them very easy to move around, enabling us to change displays and rotate stock regularly. The store has been really busy since the Helly Hansen area has been in place and sales are going extremely well.”

Helly Hansen is currently looking for further specialist partners to work with on both licensed stores and refits. The brand will cover 100% of the refit cost and will work alongside the retailer to ensure that its product offering reflect the needs of local customers.

Emma Russell, marketing manager at Helly Hansen, says: “Helly Hansen has worked hard to restructure its distribution deals around the world. The company has initiated further ventures to support wholesale and encourage greater brand awareness with the opening of branded stores, whether owned by Helly Hansen or through a partner like Rob Perry Marine, illustrating the strength of the Helly Hansen brand during the current economic market.”
