Optimism at Première Vision Pluriel

24/09/2009

According to the organisers of Première Vision Pluriel, there were “real signs of optimism” at the most recent edition, which ran September 15-18 in Paris. The final figures showed that there were 55,758 visits from fashion professionals at the event, a 13.2% increase over the February edition. Around 1,600 exhibitors participated at the show.

The organisers claim visitors were particularly struck by the inventiveness of the autumn winter 2010-11 collections as exhibiting companies are investing heavily in innovation and development as a way of fighting back against the economic downturn. Colours and patterns were bold, aiming to force a reaction from visitors.

Première Vision and Expofil registered slightly more than 39,200 visits from fashion professionals, slightly higher than in February, down 11% compared with September 2008.

The shows welcomed professionals from around 100 countries, with international visitors accounting for more than 70% of total exhibitors.
