The European Outdoor Group (EOG) and the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) have made a commitment to cooperate on the two organisations’ individual sustainability projects and will together produce complementary tools for outdoor sector companies.
 

Anne Girard from Petzl, who is co-chair of the EOG's Sustainability Working Group and Jill Dumain from Patagonia, who is chair of the OIA Sustainability and Fair Labor Advisory Council, will head the coordination efforts between the two groups.

Ms Girard said: “Informally, the two organisations have been working together since inception, but we have now reached a formal agreement which will bring clarity to the relationship, over the coming weeks we will aim to find ways that the various committees can work together to ensure a cohesive approach to sustainability for the whole industry.”
