New polypropylene plant in Russia

Russian petrochemical company OJSC Sibur Holding has secured funding of $150 million from state-owned bank Vnesheconombank to set up a propylene and polypropylene venture in Tobolsk, in the Tyumen region of Russia.
The proposed complex will house a polypropylene plant with a production capacity of 500,000 tonnes a year. The plant will use Innovene process technology from INEOS Group Limited for the production of propylene.
