Nike resigns from business body

Sports brand Nike has resigned from the board of the United States Chamber of Commerce in a dispute over climate policy.
The company said it would stay on as a member of the business association, which has come in for widespread criticism because of its resistance to possible new carbon emissions regulations from the US Environmental Protection Agency.
The chamber of commerce has insisted it supports US government legislation and international agreements aimed at addressing climate change.
