TITAS build-up includes catwalk highlights show

The organisers of the TITAS exhibition in Taipei (October 14–16) held a press conference the day before the event to highlight some of the key performance textile technologies and innovations that will be on show when the doors open at the World Trade Centre in the Taiwanese capital.
General secretary of the Taiwan Textile Federation, Justin Huang, told sportstextiles.com: “We are proud of the level of innovation Taiwanese companies are achieving and visitors to the TITAS exhibition will see a number of real accomplishments.”
At the end of the press conference, some of the highlights were paraded on a catwalk. One of the most eye-catching was a tennis outfit in luminous lime green from Taipei-based Inprotex. The company’s designer and sales manager, Jessica Wang, later told sportstextiles.com that a special coating her company has devised made the outfit—a polo shirt, a short skirt and matching knickers, skin-friendly by apply vitamin D to any parts of the the wearer’s skin that come into contact with the fabric.
