Italian companies to take over Toronto
19/10/2009
Sports and outdoor brands from all parts of Italy will converge on the centre of Toronto between October 22 and 31 for an exhibition with a difference.
In all, 79 companies manufacturing clothing and equipment for sports as diverse as climbing, boxing, fencing and Formula One will take part in the event in Yonge-Dundas Square in downtown Toronto.
The organisers, the Italian Trade Commission in the Canadian city, the Italian Insitute for Foreign Trade and the country’s Association for Sport and Design, said they felt Canada, which is preparing to host the Winter Olympics in Vancouver in February, offered an ideal showcase for the appearance and performance of sporting goods and clothing made in Italy.
