21/10/2009
Technology providers Lectra and Eastman have announced that they have settled a patent infringement action brought by the French company against Eastman and its distributor, Sewn Products, in October 2008, in the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
In the settlement, Eastman has acknowledged the validity of Lectra’s patent, US Patent number 5,867,392, and, while not admitting infringement of the patent, Eastman has agreed not to use Lectra’ s Eclipse feature in its cutting systems in future.
The parties agreed not to disclose the other terms of the settlement.
