Rogers signs deal to promote Poron in baseball

The Dan Duquette Sports Academy in Hinsdale, Massachusetts and specialist materials manufacturer Rogers Corporation have announced a partnership that will help Rogers promote its Poron XRD technology to student athletes using the training facility.

Product manager for Rogers’ High Performance Foams Division, Nicole Perry, commented: “The technology is quickly taking off in the baseball and softball markets and partnering up with the Academy is a perfect fit. It allows us to support a focused, elite group of young athletes on the most advanced protective padding solutions available.”

Rogers argues that the new material offers athletes an alternative to stiff, rigid, and uncomfortable protective pads. It is a lightweight, breathable, multiple impact foam that is already being used in a variety of protective sports equipment. Soft and non-confining when at rest or worn against the body, it forms a protective shell around the athlete upon sudden impact.
