Canadian sports clothing brand Quagmire, which specialises in golf apparel has said it is celebrating the fifth anniversary of its launch with record sales of its Spring 2010 men's and women's collections. The record orders came during a series of buying shows it has attended in the last month in British Columbia and Alberta.

The collection features an array of bright and pastel colours, cut-and-sew detailing and unique logo and pocket placement across its polos, sweaters, shorts, pants, dresses, skirts and outerwear.

"We created Quagmire for guys and girls like us," said co-founder Geoff Tait. "The goal was to offer pieces that could be worn to either the bar on Friday night or the course on Saturday, and be appropriate in both settings. It's about being relaxed wherever you are, and the response to the new Spring 2010 collections has been incredible."

Crafted primarily from Quagmire's exclusive, environmentally-friendly Gud 'N Dri fabric, the 2010 collection features a variety of textures in its tops, including pique, interlock and a cotton slub jersey. Performance characteristics include breathability, durability, fast-drying properties, UV protection and antimicrobial functionality.

"The brand has come a long way from the first season when we were exclusive to Ontario to now being available throughout North America," added co-founder Bobby Pasternak. "Each year we continue to broaden our network of green grass and off-course retailers, and we've got high expectations for the remainder of this buying season."
