Two of Taiwan’s largest sportswear firms have decided to change the way they operate overseas.

Sports footwear specialist Pou Chen has opted to increase its production capacity in China and Indonesia and to reduce its capacity in Vietnam. Meanwhile, Feng Tay has decided to make cutbacks in China and to focus instead on production in Indonesia and Vietnam.

Both firms have reported better revenue and profits during the first nine months  of 2009, with growth accelerating during the third quarter.
