Pearl Izumi introduces high-performance cycling gear
Specialist cycling apparel manufacturer Pearl Izumi has launched a range of new high-performance products for men.
Its new Elite Ltd Full Zip Jersey is made from the company’s Elite Transfer fabric, which is said to provide superior moisture transfer. It has Flatlock seams for added comfort and Direct-Vent panels for ventilation. It is made from 100% polyester and offers UPF 40+ protection.
Meanwhile, the Elite Thermal LTD Jersey uses Elite Thermal Fleece fabric panels for moisture transfer and warmth. Made from 100% polyester it weighs 180 g/m² and is said to offer cyclists advanced anatomical fit. Its hem and cuffs are elasticated and the jersey has a full-length zip for ventilation as well as three back pockets.
The Elite Thermal Ltd Bib Short is designed for really cold days. It uses Pro Aero lower panels with silicone grippers and a mesh bib upper for ventilation. It features Flatlock seams and uses the firm’s Thermal Fleece fabric for warmth and 3D Chamois for better fit. It is made from 80% nylon and 20% spandex, offering UPF 40+ protection.
Pearl Izumi’s new Wind Jacket and Lightweight Vest are windproof and water-resistant. They are said to be comfortable and highly breathable as well as lightweight and easy to pack. Both use the company’s Barrier fabric with soft micromesh on the inside collar and have an elasticated hem to keep cold air out. Reflective piping and detailing offer better visibility.
