Advansa fabrics used more frequently for workwear
According to Netherlands-based Advansa, its technical fabrics, which were originally designed to be used in high-performance sportswear, are being used by a growing number of workwear manufacturers.
Lichtenstein-based Fuchshuber Techno-Tex, for example, is using the company’s Coolmax freshFX fabrics in its Cutex Protective Wear underwear range for working sectors such as the glass industry as well as for sports such as short track speed skating. Using Coolmax freshFX in the collection, which includes cut-resistant shirts, fleece underwear and piqué polo shirts, offers antibacterial and moisture-wicking properties.
Brecht Profashion from Germany is also using Coolmax freshFX in a range of workwear and corporate wear garments, such as t-shirts, polo shirts, coats and pullovers. Companies such as Aral, Bardusch, Esso, Audi, BMW, Mercedes and the German Lifeguard Association (DLRG) are all using these products.
Danish workwear and safety shoe specialist Scandinavia Mascot is producing a range called Mascot Hardwear which uses Coolmax low pill and Coolmax with wool. Meanwhile, Devold from Norway’s latest underwear collection Active, which can be worn in extremely low temperatures, contains Thermolite which traps air for insulation and offers moisture management benefits.
Other workwear producers using Advansa’s technology include Turkish manufacturer Yünsa, which supplies uniforms containing Coolmax with wool for the Turkish Airlines crew, and Nike Golf, which uses the same in a soft, lightweight collection of pullovers and coats.
