Italian outdoor brand C.A.M.P. has introduced a range of new light and functional products to be used by ski-mountaineerers and competitors for the 2009-2010 winter season.

The new products include the CAMPack Rapid, which has a capacity of 20 litres and weighs 495g. It features the Xpress Evo ski carrying system which enables users to carry two pairs of skis and the Truck Bull, featuring a hidden lanyard that can be used when needed. A loop is provided on the waist belt for tying-in so that the wearer can be helped.

The CAMP Alp 95 features an ultralight harness as well as a small aluminium adjustment buckle on the waist and a new service loop. Made from strong and durable webbing and Mesh 3-D, it is designed for competitive ski mountaineering where speed and high altitude are important. The pack weighs just 95g

The CAMP XLC 390 is the lightest semi-rigid 12-point crampon in the world, according to the company. It is made entirely from 7075 aluminium alloy, including the adjustment screw and the new heel lever, and is designed to offer durability.

Other new items include the CAMP Corsa, an ultralight ice axe, the CAMP Speed helmet, the lightweight CAMP G-Comp Wind gloves with built-in Windmit’N protection, and the CAMP Peak Down/Peak Clima, a jacket that uses Sheltex as a light and robust outer fabric and Araneum as a soft next-to-skin fabric.
