DriFire shirt named new product of the year
Performance apparel provider DriFire has won the Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) 2009 ‘New Product of the Year’ award at the annual National Safety Council Congress and Expo in Orlando, Florida.
Out of 40 entries, 12 winners were announced in 11 different categories. DriFire's 7oz, 12.1 Arc-Rated Woven Shirt won the award in the personal protective apparel category.
"We work hard to ensure that each new product we develop is made of the highest-quality materials and tested to comply with industry standards. To be recognised for our efforts and achievements by OH&S is a great honour, and we will continue striving to produce the best in protective clothing," says Rob Hines, vice president of product development at DriFire.
The shirt is designed to offer a high level of arc flash protection, comfort and moisture-wicking features, as well as allowing flexibility of moment.
"We design each of our products to fit into a thorough layering system that achieves the highest levels of protection. The award-winning woven shirt is just one component of a system that keeps workers safe, dry and comfortable all day long. Our comfortable FR shirts and pants offer moisture management, safety compliance, and flame-resistant solutions for every aspect of working in high risk conditions," says Mr Hines.
