Chinese firm wins linen order from Italy

Linen yarn and fabric supplier China Linen Textile Industry has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Heilongjiang Lanxi Sunrise Linen has signed a contract with an Italian company, Fanny Tex, to deliver approximately 1.4 million metres of semi-bleached linen fabric.
The contract is valued at around $3 million. The first shipment of the fabric will land in December 2009, with four other shipments arriving by May 2010.
Prato-based Fanny Tex sells and distributes linen and knitted fabrics to garment manufacturers in northern Italy.
