Longworth brings wicking technology to cotton

Longworth Industries, parent company of Polarmax, XGO and PMX technical base-layers, has announced a partnership with Cotton Incorporated, the cotton promotion organisation set up by US cotton growers, to introduce a line of technical T-shirts and undergarments with patented moisture management technology called TransDRY.
The technology moves moisture to the outside of the fabric where it can evaporate faster, and the companies involved in this partnership have claimed that the new combination dries twice as fast as regular cotton, without compromising the traditional comfort properties of the fibre.
“We are really excited to be partnering with Cotton Incorporated to bring this fantastic technology to market,” said Randy Black, president of Longworth Industries. “Technical cotton is applicable to so many parts of our business, from outdoor to military, and we feel really strongly about partnering with other US-based companies to create jobs and quality products right here at home, while reducing our travel, shipping and quality control footprint.”
