Textile school to open in Brazil

05/01/2010

A new technical centre for the textile sector is to be established in Ipojuca, Brazil, by petrochemical group PetroquímicaSuape and the National Service of Industrial Education (SENAI) in Pernambuco.

The centre will primarily focus on training workers to use synthetic fibres such as polyester. PetroquímicaSuape will be responsible for constructing the building and will install the necessary equipment, while the local council in Ipojuca will provide the land, design the building and take care of administrative activities, along with SENAI, which will manage the school.

The school will cover around 10,000 square-metres and is expected to be up and running by the second half of 2010.
