Callaway Golf launches India subsidiary
Callaway Golf has launched Callaway Golf India, a new wholly-owned subsidiary in what it describes as one of the fastest growing markets on the global golf landscape. The company has also signed an agreement with Indian golfer Jeev Milkha Singh, who will now serve as the subsidiary’s brand ambassador.
"Callaway Golf's international business spans more than 110 countries and accounts for over half of the company's annual revenue," said George Fellows, president and CEO. "We see great potential in the Indian market and are looking forward to introducing our products, which are the most innovative and technologically advanced in the game.
“We feel the IOC's [International Olympic Committee’s] recent decision to reinstate golf as an Olympic sport, and the growing number of international players—including Jeev Milkha Singh—among the upper echelons of the World Golf Rankings, indicates a global golf marketplace poised for growth."
US-based Callaway Golf also has wholly-owned subsidiaries in Europe, Japan, Canada, Korea, Australia and China.
