Golf and sportswear firm Quagmire claims its distinctive polos and hats will be worn by Hollywood celebrities and professional athletes at the 2010 Bob Hope Classic, which will take place January 20-24 in La Quinta, California.

Celebrities such as Anthony Anderson, Alice Cooper, Jeffrey Donovan, Kyle MacLachlan, Chris O'Donnell, Ron Perlman, Kurt Russell, Bo Jackson and Greg Maddux will participate alongside a number of PGA Tour players.

The Quagmire goods will be distributed in gift bags and will include polos, sweaters, shorts, trousers, dresses, skirts and outerwear in colours ranging from bright orange and green to baby pink and blue.

Made from the company's Gud 'N Dri fabric, the polos are available in several textures including pique, interlock and a cotton slub. Gud 'N Dri is said to offer breathability, durability, fast-drying properties, UV protection and antimicrobial benefits. Garments made from the fabric are also soft, static-free and wrinkle- and piling-resistant.

The 2010 collection also includes a new ‘recycled honeycomb’, 100% polyester cloth. For bottoms, the company has introduced a new woven-nylon, seersucker plaid and cotton stripe.

"The Bob Hope Classic has a wonderful history of attracting some of golf and Hollywood's top names in support of local charities," says co-founder Geoff Tait. "We're proud to have been a part of this wonderful event the last several years, and appreciate the opportunity to again contribute some of our new, fashion-forward styles."
