The North Face (TNF) has been given an ispo Outdoor Award for its Kishtwar Jacket, a technical Summit Series soft shell.

It was the winner of the textile category for winter 2010-11 outdoor innovations and was chosen by an international panel comprising representatives of media, retail and independent industry experts. Judging criteria focused on innovation, user-friendliness, design and technical aspects of the products submitted.

The Kishtwar is cut from a new technical fabric, Polartec Power Shield Pro, which is abrasion-resistant for protection against rock faces and rugged terrain and has a water-repellent surface that sheds both rain and snow. Its non-restrictive fit promotes maximum mobility for high-exertion activities, while a fully adjustable, fixed hood, moulded cuff tabs and a hideaway hem cinch cord offer protection from the elements.
