Textile Institute call for papers

01/02/2010

Global textile industry organisation The Textile Institute has issued a call for papers for a conference it will hold in Manchester on November 3 and 4 to celebrate its centenary.

The Centenary World Conference forms part of a series of events to commemorate the special anniversary of the body. The guiding theme for the two-day event will be ‘creating a global vision for textiles, clothing and footwear’.

Areas to be highlighted include product design, education and training, retail, materials innovation, sustainability, manufacturing processes, technical textiles, supply chain management and future trends. Papers on relevant topics outside these areas will also be considered.

People interested in speaking at the event should send the titles for proposed papers, with a 200 word abstract or synopsis, to the organisers at
papers@tiworldconference.org no later than 6 April 2010. Abstracts should be submitted electronically in Microsoft Word format. Papers will be accepted from authors on the basis of attending the conference at the appropriate delegate rate.
