Schoeller announces new fabric trends

Swiss textile and technology group Schoeller has issued a new trends forecast for the fabric that will be in use in sports and outdoor collections in spring-summer 2011.
It says sensual, functional and responsible are the themes that will dominate.
With shape-memory effects, reflex, glow in the dark, featherweight creations, hologram coatings and a range of diverse finishing technologies, Schoeller says it will serve up “a fair portion of functionality” even in the fashion and lifestyle areas, with technologies such as c_change, coldblack, NanoSphere, 3XDRY and Fluorofree in active use.
