AccuMark users can mind their language

Software provider to the textile industry Gerber Technology has announced release 8.4 of its AccuMark application, offering enhancements that, the company says, focus on enabling users to work with improved efficiency and accuracy.

“Enhanced communication improves efficiency and reduces errors,” said Bill Brewster, head of the Gerber Software Systems Group. “In order to make our AccuMark user experience easier and more efficient, we improved the integration between AccuMark and other applications, as well as provided several new tools to support collaboration.”

He explained that AccuMark 8.4 focused on customers’ need for collaboration regardless of location or native language. Communicating product specifications is critical to ensuring quality and on-time delivery; language barriers in a global environment are a common cause of errors in product development, which in turn causes costly production delays, he said. Gerber Technology has incorporated a translation library into AccuMark 8.4, which enables users to create notes on piece and marker data in one language and deliver it in another.

AccuMark is currently available in 26 languages.
