London-based sportswear label Yew Clothing has launched a new range of activewear made from 100% recycled materials.
Designed by athletes Jun Wong and Kresse Wesling, the collection is made 100% from post-consumer waste recycled polyester spun in Taiwan. It consists of short-sleeve technical tops, long-sleeve baselayers and fleece-lined jackets. The sustainable range is completed by organic cotton T-shirts.
Yew is donating 1% of its total sales to environmental groups as part of the scheme developed by not-for-profit organisation, 1% For the Planet.
On announcing the new collection, Jun Wong said: “We’ve worked really hard to create an ethically sourced product that competes with the very best in the marketplace. Our products are practical, durable, stylish, and are available at an affordable price, giving the consumer a viable choice when it comes to being more sustainable.”
