Tunisian textile exports on the rise

According to reports, Tunisian textile exports rose 16.9% in value and 12.7% in volume in 2009. Higher exports to Italy drove the increase.

According to the Tunis Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the textile sector is the country’s top manufacturing sector, representing 36% of manufacturing exports and generating €4.1 billion.

Many textile firms will gather together at Texmed Tunisia on March 16-18 at Parc des expositions du Le Kram, Tunis.
