New sustainability manager at Invista
Invista performance surfaces and materials has named Derek Young global sustainability manager.
In this role, Mr Young will help advance the company’s sustainability efforts across four key areas: enduring materials, sustainable performance, responsible manufacturing and corporate citizenship. Mr Young also represents Invista on the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) Eco-Working Group.
Mr Young has extensive experience in many areas of sustainability, including climate change, and resource consumption and waste. He has worked with the US Environmental Protection Agency, and a number of national associations and organisations, including the National Governors Association, the US Conference of Mayors, and the US Green Building Council. He also represented the governor of Pennsylvania in Washington, DC, on issues pertaining to energy, the environment, agriculture, natural resources, conservation and ports and waterways.
