Online help for Australia’s textile sector

A new online aid has been made available to small businesses within Australia’s textile, clothing and footwear sector. The TCF Australia Online Training Mentoring Project will provide free access to ecommerce business workshops, online web mentoring, ‘Ask an Expert’ forums and helplines.

The government-funded project is designed to help participants improve their skills in website development, web marketing strategies and online sales tools to help promote their brand and increase sales and profitability. It will also provide access to network linkups and supply chain databases. The project is supported by The Textile, Clothing and Footwear Resource Centre of Western Australia (TCFWA), among other organisations.

Project manager, Carol Hanlon, said: “More than 2,000 small business participants across Australia will be able to benefit from the TCF Online Training and Mentoring Project over the next 18 months which is a great boost to building their ecommerce business skills in a global industry.”
