EMTEX hosts sports materials seminar
The East Midlands Textiles Association (EMTEX), based in the UK, is hosting a sports materials seminar on April 14. The seminar will take place from 9am to 12.30pm at the EMMAT Materials Hub office in Nottingham.
Speakers will include Mike Caine, director of the Sports Technology Institute at Loughborough University, who will speak on ‘Developing and testing advanced sports garments in partnership with leading sporting goods brands’. Mr Caine has collaborated with numerous sporting goods brands, including New Balance, Nike, Reebok and Speedo as well as individual national teams including England Rugby.
He is also named as an inventor on eight patents, several of which have been commercialised via licensing deals with sporting goods brands.
There will also be a question and answer session.
