Oakley makes surf segment appointment

Sports brand Oakley has appointed Tim English as its new marketing manager for the surf segment.

Oakley’s surf product line includes board shorts, rashguard tops, T-shirts, hoodies, backpacks and sandals, as well as sunglasses and other accessories.

Tim English joins the company from footwear brand DC Shoes. An avid surfer, he will oversee all surf needs and responsibilities for North America, including the Oakley Pro Junior series and the Oakley Surf Shop Challenge.

“I’m very excited to have Tim English on board,” said Oakley’s global sports marketing manager, Ronny Nelson. “Tim and I have been friends for a long time and we have worked together extensively on multiple projects. Tim is a great fit for Oakley and will help take our surf programme to the highest level.”
