Dutch textile processing chemicals provider Tanatex Chemicals has announced a series of additions to its product portfolio.

For dyeing, the new products include Avolan SN, a versatile levelling agent for dyeing wool with acid, chrome, 1:1 metal-complex and sulfonated 1:2 metal-complex dyes with affinity to dyes and fibres; it is the successor of Avolan S product. It promotes migration of the dyes, improves levelling power for both fibre and surface levelling as well as penetration of the dyes.

Another new dyeing product levelling agent Levegal LPA 01, with affinity to dyes for dyeing of polyamide with selected acid dyes and 1:2 metal-complex dyes; it is successor of Levegal LPA. It retards the uptake of the dyes on the polyamide fibres, improves the combination
behaviour of dyes and supports penetration of the dyes.

On the coating side, one of the new products is Edolan XPF, a universal flame-retardant additive for aqueous coating systems. It can
be used in combination with polymers for the coating of technical textiles of all fibre types.

There are also several interesting new finishing products, including Eulan SPA, which can be added to uniforms or garments as a treatment against flying insects like mosquitoes and flies and on crawling insects like ants, mites and cockroaches. The finish is principally intended as a protection for people against bites from insects that can transmit infection. Tanatex says the finish is odourless and has no detrimental effect on the handle.

The company has also added to its Bayscent series of special finishes that are based on micro-encapsulated essential oils, and which, on release, can reinforce harmony and wellbeing of body, mind and spirit. The capsules release the
beneficial essences gradually to ensure maximum effect. Bayscent Rose is one of the new products, available in a liquid form and can be used like a common finishing product.

Commenting on the launch of these new products, the director of sales and marketing for Tanatex Chemicals, Ingo Notz, said: “Today’s textile processing industry is driven by consumer trends and high-quality requirements demanded by international brands and retailers. Tanatex Chemicals is therefore constantly searching for innovative developments to meet these demands with a special focus on environmental awareness.”
