Successful seminar in Nottingham
14/04/2010
WSA magazine editor, Stephen Tierney, was one of the presenters at a special seminar on sports apparel in Nottingham on April 14. He used the slot to highlight a small number of the many innovations featured in WSA articles in the last six months.
Other speakers were Dr John Williams from the Textiles Engineering and Materials team at De Montfort University in Leicester, Professor Mike Caine, who is the director of the Sports Technology Institute at Loughborough University, and Dr Tom Waller, head of the Aqualab research and development centre that swimwear brand Speedo runs in Nottingham.
The seminar was organised by MATHUB, a materials project being run by the East Midlands Textile Association. It was aimed at all companies and individuals who have an interest in sports materials.
