Italian outdoor brand CAMP has added a series of new products to its range.

The first of two new backpacks, the Essential, offers maximum support and comfort in a good quality-weight-compactness ratio. The other, the Phantom, is an ultralight and compact backpack with features such as breathable shoulder straps, elasticised mesh front pocket and trekking poles holder. It has a weight of 250 grammes and a capacity of 15 litres.

The company has also launched the CAMP Magic jacket, a windbreaker and water-repellent jacket for fast outdoor athletes who cannot afford to carry extra weight, but may find themselves in adverse conditions. It is light and compressible and is constructed from a fabric called Araneum, which weighs only 35 grammes per square-metre. The whole jacket weights 114 grammes.

The new products also include the CAMP Microcap, a cap with a weatherproof outer, built-in earmiffs and a fleece inner, and the CAMP Xenon trekking pole for sky runners and adventure racers or trekkers.

The CAMP ED 150 Pro is a light and compact sleeping bag (also made from Araneum), with white goose down filling, while the Minima 1 is a compact, lightweight tunnel tent.

To go with these, CAMP has also launched a new self-inflating mattress called Light Mat, which comes complete with a repair kit, the Sport Dry Towel, constructed from soft, fast-drying, antibacterial ultrafine microfibre.
