Techtextil North America announces advance highlights
14/04/2010
The organisers of Techtextil North America 2010 have highlighted the contributions they expect a number of key exhibitors to make to the event, which takes place at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta from May 18–20.
Leading technical textile and nonwovens companies from around the world will showcase their latest products and advanced technologies during the exhibition and the Techtextil North America Symposium, which runs in parallel.
The highlights in the exhibit hall will include Aurora Specialty Textiles Group, which has had added cationic cotton fabric dyeing to its range of fabric colouring capabilities. This process uses fabrics made with cationic treated cotton yarn,
which has an affinity for reactive dye. The benefits of this system include shorter dye cycles, reduced usage of energy and water, and the elimination of salts and alkali.
Brueckner Textile Technologies, a producer of systems for the finishing of textiles, nonwovens and technical textiles, will be among the many companies focusing on eco technologies, while Kuraray America will feature a fibre called Vectran. The company will highlight Vectran
knitted fabrics, which offer cut, puncture, abrasion and heat resistance properties.
Leigh Fibers will feature recycled aramids and other technical fibres and will challenge visitors to its booth to spot the difference between virgin fibres and its own recycled fibres.
Meanwhile Stein Fibers will introduce its Infinity Polyester, a US-produced 100% recycled fibre with up to 100% post-consumer bottle flake content, and material science company Zeus will demonstrate its expanded drawn fibre capabilities by showcasing PFA, FEP, ETFE and other polymers at the event.
