Vietnam: government asks for 12% productivity increase

Vietnam's ministry of industry and trade has asked the textile and garment industry in the country to increase productivity by about 12% this year compared to 2009 and has given it an export value target of around $10 billion.

To help compaies achieve this objective, the ministry has approved a project to build a state-of-the-art laboratory for textile and garment quality assurance and testing.
