Outdoor brand Craghoppers has appointed five new people to a variety of roles in its UK and international business with a view to capitalising on the “tremendous growth” it says the Craghopper and Bear Grylls Survival Clothing brands are currently experiencing.

US-based Lindsey Hayes is the new international sales director. In this newly created role she will manage all sales and distribution aspects as the company grows its international markets. She has 15 years’ managerial experience at companies including Nike, Timberland, adidas, Reebok and Donnay.

The new sales manager for the Bear Grylls brand will be Aiden Wells, who joins Craghoppers after 13 years in sales at companies including Lacoste, adidas and Nike. There is also a new head of retail, Justin Nugent. He will aim to grow the brand’s concession programme and maximise revenue from the existing 92 stores across the UK.

Two new senior designers are also joining the Craghoppers team. Sally Tyson has been designing lifestyle clothing for over 15 years, working with brands such as Ellesse, Rockport, Caterpillar and Slazenger, while the company believes Sarah Nightingale’s experience in the sports market, at O’Neill and New Balance, will be invaluable to it.

Commenting on these appointments, Craghoppers managing director, Jim McNamara, said: “We are very pleased to welcome such high-calibre candidates to the Craghoppers team. We are sure all our new colleagues will help us capitalise on the current growth we are experiencing in the travel, outdoor and Bear markets. This commitment further demonstrates that we are determined to provide the best products and service to our customers. We are delighted to have them on board and are sure that their combined enthusiasm and experience will benefit the company in our quest to develop and market new and innovative products.”
