Ghent to host Innovations in Sports Textiles conference

Centexbel, the Belgian Textile Research Centre, has announced the full programme for a two-day conference it will host in the city of Ghent on June 24–25.
The event will have as its title Innovations in Sports Textiles and the list of speakers includes representatives of most elements of the sports textile supply chain.
“The great attraction of sports events and the increasing importance attached to health and wellness urge many people from all social classes to practice sports,” Centexbel said in the build-up to the event. “As a consequence, sports are now a massive growth market. This international congress will be more than just a scientific congress on innovations. Delegates will also be able to touch and feel new textile materials and sports equipment by visiting exhibitors’ booths.”
The programme includes around 30 speakers from eight different countries, presenting on t.opics including comfort, wellness, safety, performance and sustainability. More information is available at this link Innovations in Sport.
