Higher turnout at Performance Days

Organisers of textile roadshow Performance Days have reported that the number of exhibitors and visitors increased at the most recent edition, which took place in Munich from April 13-15 and Annecy from April 19-20.

The number of international exhibitors from Europe, Asia and the US rose 20% compared with the previous shows in November 2009. Around 70 exhibitors from 16 countries participated at the two events. Visitor numbers rose 19.4%, with visitors coming from 11 countries.

A range of extra events took place at the shows including a Trend Forum, which showcased more than 200 fabric samples. A dedicated workwear table attracted a lot of interest, while an Innovation Tower, featuring video clips and multi­media presentations offered previews of new innovations. Added to this, five expert presentations took place in Munich and two lectures were held in Annecy. The scope of these presentations ranged from topics such as nanotechnology, new textile technologies, sustain­ability, marketing strategies, software solutions and new trends and colours for winter 2011-12.

The next Performance Days shows will take place from November 18-19 in Munich and November 23-24 in Annecy.
