India increases textile exports to the US
The value of Indian textiles exported to the US rebounded in February and March following a steady decline in previous months.
According to the US Department of Commerce, textile and apparel exports from India to the US rose 8.3% year-on-year in March to $487.8 million, while February exports rose 7.7% to $443.5 million. Exports to the US account for around 25% of the country’s total textile and apparel exports.
Nevertheless, Indian textile and apparel exports to the EU are still in decline as economic uncertainty continues.
