Xtep sponsors athletics diamond league
Chinese sportswear company Xtep International Holdings is to partner and act as the sole sportswear sponsor for the International Association of Athletics Federations Diamond League Shanghai from 2010-2012.
Over the next three seasons, it will sponsor and provide outfits for referees, organising committee members, security officers, volunteers, awards ceremonies and other workers of the IAAF Shanghai Diamond League.
The IAAF Diamond League is an annual series of track and field meets. The Shanghai league is the second stop of the series this year and will be held at the Shanghai Stadium on May 23. More than 160 athletes from across the globe, including 15 world or Olympic champions such as Usain Bolt, will participate.
Ding Shui Po, chairman and chief executive officer of Xtep, said: "The Shanghai Diamond League is a prestigious and well-received athletic league that assembles top athletes. We are honoured to have partnered with the IAFF Shanghai Diamond League and to inspire and share the enthusiasm for sports.”
