24/05/2010

Acting CEO at Australian Wool Innovation (AWI), Stuart McCullough, has been given the job permanently after two months in the role.

Out of 93 applicants for the position from within and outside the organisation, AWI chairman, Wal Merriman said there were four outstanding candidates. However, he said Mr McCullough had shown himself to be “very capable” in the last two months and has demonstrated good leadership skills.

“Mr McCullough has worked in various senior roles at AWI in his nine years with the company,” Mr Merriman says. “Having worked in the wool industry for 21 years, he has extensive knowledge of the fibre, its markets and its people.”
