Advansa introduces ThermoCool UPF

Technical fibre and fabrics manufacturer Advansa has announced a new version of its ThermoCool technology.

In addition to the evaporative-cooling and thermo-buffering properties ThermoCool has always had, the new version, ThermoCool with UPF, will, as the name suggests, offer increased protection against the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation from the sun's rays.

Three options, offering a Ultraviolet Protection Factor of 15+, 25+ and 40+, are available. Advansa said fibre type, density of weave and construction were among the characteristics that would determine which category fabrics incorporating ThermoCool UPF would fall into.
