RITE Group to run with Ethical Fashion Forum

The fourth annual RITE Group conference will take place in London on October 6. So far, the organisers have confirmed that speakers from DuPont, Huntsman and Marks & Spencer will take part.

In a new development, the conference will run in parallel with the Ethical Fashion Forum, an exhibition supported by the World Fair Trade Organisation. The organisers expect more than 50 exhibitors to take part, highlighting their contributions to social and environmental sustainability in the fashion industry.

Chairman of the RITE Group, Phil Patterson, explained the development, saying: “The RITE Group has an inclusive approach to textile sustainability but we purposely focus on environmental aspects. However we recognise that environmental and ethical issues are often difficult to separate and many of our supporters have asked us to give more time to ethical considerations. We are therefore delighted to partner with the Ethical Fashion Forum and we firmly believe its input into the RITE event will be interesting, stimulating and above all very useful for all our delegates.”
