Argentina shirts prove popular

Further south, in Patagonia, local media said the shirts were “flying off the shelves”, selling as soon as sales staff put them out on display.
An official statement from the medium-sized business association CAME said sales of sports goods in general were up by 16.5% compared to Father’s Day last year.
The shirts, made by adidas, have become increasingly popular as the FIFA 2010 World Cup in South Africa progresses. After a lacklustre qualifying campaign, Argentina made, arguably, the strongest of all starts to the competition itself, beating Nigeria 1-0 and South Korea 4-1 in the two games before Father’s Day, and playing the most exciting and creative football of the tournament so far.
